1.     Expression ” Giving Invitation”

Berikut adalah eksperesi “Giving invitation” yaitu ekspresi yang biasa digunakan dalam bahasa Inggris ketika kita ingin “mengajak”/ kalimat-kalimat ajakan.

- Would you like a dance with me?

a) Accepting an invitation (menerima ajakan)
- with pleaseure

b) Refusing an invitation (menolak ajakan)
-I’m sorry I can’t. I have another boy friend
- Thanks but I’m affraid I can’t
-Oh, I’d love to but I have to work.

2.     Ungkapan-ungkapan untuk menyatakan argumentasi digunakan dengan benar.

• Expressing agreement/ disagreement:

-         You’re right.

-         I’m afraid you’ve got wrong information, Sir.

§  Expressing argument

-         Yes, but don’t forget ...

-         That may be so but ...

3.  Conjunctions / concessive relationship.

− Constructions with “used to”:

    a) be/get  used to + V-ing

    b) used to + Verb 1

− Noun clause as object:

      -  I never believe that

         there will be another

         rationalization.

4. Melakukan persuasi (Persuading)
